XLM800 Loop Expansion Module & PMM840 Loop Power Booster
The XLM800 Loop Expansion Module fits
“piggyback” style onto the FIM or an existing
XLM 800 and is used to:
- Expand the capability of the MX4000C.I.E. two loop system to four six or eight loops
- Replace the FIM loops in case of a failure on either a two or four loop system.
The XLM800 Loop Expansion Module controls the communications between the detectors (and other ancillaries) connected on the 2-wire loop circuits and the controller.
In addition, the addressable interface contains line isolation circuits which protect the loop driver circuit from short-circuit conditions.
PMM840 Loop Power Booster
The PMM840 board provides extra loop power to
an XLM800 loop expansion board, fitted in an MZX
fire alarm control panel.
The PMM840 takes an unused 24 V feed from the
existing power supply and converts this to 40 V for
powering the loop. The PMM840 can provide up to
1.2 A at 40 V.
(The XLM800 does not necessarily need to be
powered by an PMM840. The PMM840 is only required if there is a higher loop power demand on
the XLM800.)
The PMM840 stacks on top of the existing
PMM800 board. The PMM 840 is based on the
PMM800 board, but with fewer components. |
