The magnetic stripe standalone intelligent locks have been especially designed for the Hotel, Guest House and Halls of Residence Market.
The locks themselves are 'standalone' and battery operated; with each lock only requiring 4 x AA alkaline batteries. Users gain access by simply inserting a low cost encoded magnetic stripe card to their designated lock.
The range also includes standalone mains powered units for heavy duty usage, for example at a main entrance or high traffic doors. This system has the ability to interface to mainstream hotel billing/booking software systems.

SMF Contactless Mifare Lockset
The AE-SMF01-RD and the AE-SMF01-EXT-RD are standalone intelligent proximity locksets, the AE-SPL01-EXT-RD being weatherproof. Both units work in conjunction with contactless Mifare smartcards and are DDA friendly with a 19mm round, return to door handle.
Each unit is programmed via encoded cards which are software produced using an encoder. The unit is dormant until a card is presented and an infrared detector picks up the presence of a person to "wake up" the unit and prepare it to accept a card.
The contactless Mifare Smartcard AE-SMF-CRD can also be used in conjunction with an on-line access control system using the proximity reader available, AE-SMF-WE26, incorporating 26bit wiegand format.

This system has the ability to interface to mainstream hotel billing/booking software packages. When linked to these, our software simply runs in the background and cards are automatically produced when entering reservation information into the hotel billing/software package. The key benefit of this facility is that time and complexity is reduced when booking people into the hotel.
Card Programming Software - Simple Yet Powerful
The software is a simple to use Microsoft Windows based package and provides a host of superior features as expected from a quality intelligent lockset system. It provides connection to an encoder to program system cards for their required rights of access.
Software Module
The Hotel Locking software module allows the operator to encode cards for guest and staff which will allow limited or global access to bedrooms, leisure suits and conference etc. This can also be integrated with most hotel reservation systems to reduce the administration by the receptionist when the guest arrives.
Linked to a card encoder, the guests card is programmed for a limited time period. Guests that do not return the card will not have access after they have left the Hotel. Cards that are returned can be re used if required.
Cards are held at the reception desk un-programmed - so that they are not a security risk. Cards can of course be branded for the Hotel so that they are actually a marketing tool - the guest can keep the card so that they use your hotel again. It may also be possible to offer this branding service to sister companies, your suppliers etc. They may wish to have their branding on your card - and pay for the privilege.
