This emergency voice communication system can be used by disabled people when in commercial and public buildings. The system comprises an intercom facility that is designed specifically for the use of people who are physically handicapped. It enables them to easily communicate with key building management staff in the event of an emergency.#
The requirement for this kind of system is being driven by the disability act (DDA) and health and safety legislation. Many new commercial and public buildings will require such a system to be installed.
OmniCare is simple to install and operate and in its basic configuration comprises just two main types of component:
A master control panel
A number of refuge remote stations for use by disabled people
These systems are designed in accordance with the latest Emergency Voice Communication British Standards;
BS 5588 part 8 and BS 5839 part 9.
