Identicom

Lone Worker Personal Attack Unit

Identicom personal attack unit for people working alone. Using mobile phone technology, the ID badge style unit is ideal for field-based personnel such as district nursing staff or social care workers.

By pressing one of the alarm buttons the user leaves regular voice messages, know as amber alerts, giving details of their location. These messages are automatically logged and recorded at the monitoring centre and can be instantly accessed, should the user initiate a red alert attack alarm by use of a second button on the unit. Red alert alarms are immediately answered by the ARC and the operator is able to continuously listen to the incident and summon assistance if necessary. This verbal information is also automatically recorded and can be used as evidence in any subsequent legal action.

Key Features

  • Unique ID card format ensures Identicom is always with the worker and within immediate reach.
  • Discreet activation ensures the workers are not putting themselves at any further risk or danger.
  • Discreet activation ensures an open voice call from Identicom can help capture verbal abuse as well as identify potential issues of physical abuse.
  • One button activation of multiple escalation actions (i.e. voice call and multiple text messages).
  • Unique 'stop and check' function ensures the worker verifies their ability to raise an alarm before entering a potentially hazardous situation.
  • An ability to pre-record useful information before a visit is made, Identicom can then operate on a timer mechanism.
  • Failure to respond to the timer will initiate escalation of the incidence.
  • Lanyard 'rip alarm' ensures that the device enters an alert status if it is forcibly removed from the wearer.
  • All industry sized ID cards can be accommodated, simply slide in/out from the side.
  • Configuration of Identicom is via SMS text message making 'in field' management of devices easy.
  • Depending on usage the battery will need replacing after 2 – 3 years. The unit must be returned to the manufacturers for this operation. A battery replacement fee would apply.
